Privacy Policy

This policy covers baywaone.com, the marketing and waitlist site for BayWa One. It explains what we collect when you put your details into the waitlist form, why, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and how to get a copy or have it deleted.
1. Who is responsible for your data
BayWa One is operated by BayWa r.e. Solar Distribution, Inc., part of the BayWa r.e. group. For the purposes of this site we are the controller of the personal data described below.
2. What we collect, and why
We only collect what you type into the waitlist form, plus the minimum our hosting needs to serve the page.

We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking on this site, and there is no advertising or cross-site tracking pixel on it. We do not buy or sell personal data, and we do not share your details with third parties for their own marketing.
3. Our lawful basis
You give us these details because you want us to contact you about BayWa One. We rely on your consent (which you give by submitting the form) and on our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry from a prospective customer. Withdrawing consent is as simple as telling us, see section 6.
4. Who else processes it
We use a small number of providers to run this site. They process your data on our instructions only.
- Web3Forms (form delivery)
- When you submit the waitlist form, the contents are sent to Web3Forms, a third-party form relay, which delivers them to our mailbox as an email. Your name, work email, company and answers pass through their systems.
- Cloudflare (hosting, anti-abuse)
- This site is hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare sees the technical data above in order to serve the page, and the Turnstile human-verification check on the form runs on their infrastructure.
- Our email provider
- Waitlist submissions arrive as email and are stored in our corporate mailbox while we follow them up.
5. How long we keep it
We keep waitlist submissions for as long as we are actively working through onboarding, and then delete them.
6. Your rights, and how to use them
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent to being contacted. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and, under California law, the right to know what we collect and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@baywaone.com or reply to any email we send you. We will respond within the time the applicable law allows. You can also unsubscribe at any time by replying to any message from us with "unsubscribe".
If you are in the EU or UK and you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.
7. Security
Access to waitlist submissions is limited to the BayWa r.e. people working on BayWa One onboarding. The site is served over HTTPS. For how the BayWa One product itself handles installer and homeowner data, see the security and data section on our home page.
8. Children
This is a business-to-business site. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and the date at the top. If the change is material and we hold your email address, we will tell you directly.
